Happy Campers

The three of us haven't really seen each other in about 3 weeks.  Allen has worked nonstop and we've had family in and out for several weekends.  We needed some time, just the three of us, and this weekend was the time to do it.  We drove to the middle of nowhere Alabama to visit Allen's grandparents.  My grandparents generously left their camper for us to use at a nearby park.  We might have been camping, but I can assure you, we were not "roughing it"!

Lots of hugs & kisses for his great grandparents!

Lady Luck! She caught a fish every time she threw her line in the water!

 Yes, it was very muddy.

Reeling in the BIG ONE! :-)

Three Fishing Generations

PawPaw's cane turned into a galloping horse.

Who wears it best?...

Make up, schmake up!  Who needs it when you're camping, right?
In the cold freezing springs before we left.

I looked up some quotes about camping and here is one I found:

Camping: Nature's way of promoting the motel industry!

But I have to disagree, and I'm sure Allen does too, considering he made a pitstop here on our way home!

Shannon-- What a small world. Just saw your comment on my blog, and my grandparents also lived in Sedalia! (That's where my dad grew up.) Your "people" probably know my "people" :)
