A Week in Greenville

I am meant to live in a small town.

I long for a place where mornings start like this:

and nights end like this:
I dream of spending many hours on a front porch just suited for music & dancing & story telling & rocking sweet babies to sleep.

I need a place where my baby can eat his first scuppernong;

and then anxiously await his second.

Where he can experience his first small town football game,

with the prettiest of gals :-),

and get his first taste of what it might be like to play when he gets "biggah".

I want to look out my window and see cats sitting on white fences,

dogs being loved on by little hands,

and chickens roaming.

To be honest, though, I don't think I want to gather eggs,

but I do want to do some serious scuppernong picking

with some not-so serious pickers :-)

Oh how I look forward to Allen's homemade wine!

I think all little boys should grow up in a place where big boys teach them how to jump in mud puddles

& then look for frogs with them.

And finally I want to live in a place where it's totally acceptable for little boys to wear smocked outfits
especially when the smocking is of his parents' favorite SEC team. :-)
